AMEN! Cute, colorful and modest. It PAINS me to see what some women wear to church. I understand that some women just don't know and we need to be an example. But some...I know their mother's have taught them because the mom's dress modestly. They are being rebellious. I pray for the poor preacher who is trying to give a message without looking at the inappropriate short skirts.......GREAT BLOG! Keep them coming!
I saw a lady on Sunday, I had to turn my head, shut my mouth and pray. She was pregnant and came to church in cotton leggings with knee high boots. The boots had a very high heel. Then she was wearing a fitted shirt, so tight that I could tell that her belly button was an "outtie". Her husband was with her. It hurt me to see her not only disrespect God and herself, but her husband too (who was dressed in jeans, nice white button down shirt, and dress shoes). Where has modesty gone? I remember being 28 and going to church with my grandmother. I had on a dress that showed 1/2 of my knee when I sat down. I remember she lectured me and told me that I was not dressed right for church and the dress was showing too much leg. Mind you I was 28 y/o, the dress was a basic knit, a bit on the plain side. I did not understand it then but respected what she told me. NOW I understand....
I won't even mention the gum popping I hear during church when the Pastor is giving the message....sigh. LORD help us!
Wow.. Yeah they need our prayers! I remember them days when Granny wasn't havin' the skirts above the knees.. They didn't play that, back in the day!! I have so much respect for them now & understand why they did it :)
